I've launched a new fun service called Crosstips in Django. It was my first Django project that fully uses I18N (Internationalization) since it's available in Swedish and English. The actual algorithmic work that this required was written in about a weekend from start to finish but since then I've spent many late night hours tuning it with making it fast, cacheable, JSON interface, described and lastly I nicked a design from another website. I hope they don't shoot me for that. At least it's not a profit making website.
The next step is to incorporate some more intelligence in the search by using clues. The NLTK project can help with this. I've already done some experiments with using hypernouns (synonyms) but I realise it's going to be quite hard to make something useful. Wish me luck!
